Baby calves everywhere! We are calving now during this incredible spring. Most ranchers calve in the middle of winter when it’s 10 degrees outside. How would you like coming into this world at freezing temperatures?

We believe it is so much healthier for our animals to have their babies in the spring when it’s warm. It sure causes a lot less stress for everyone and our success rate is so much greater.

The reason most ranchers calve in January/February is because they need to have their cows ready for market in the fall. We don’t have this problem because we bring our cattle to the processor every month of the year, so we can choose when our mommas have their babies.

It’s so fun to see them all running around playing together.
